What a Nickerson Yurt Is

ReserveAmerica describes Nickerson's yurts as canvas-sided, cabin-like structures: somewhere between a tent and a cabin. You get canvas walls, bunk beds and furniture without setting up anything yourself.

It's still camping. ReserveAmerica doesn't list a kitchen or bathroom among the yurt features. The campground's comfort stations have hot showers and flush toilets.

Prices

DCR lists two sizes on its Nickerson page. Rates are per yurt, per night:

Compared with a standard campsite, a yurt costs two to two and a half times as much for residents and saves you hauling a tent and sleeping pads.

What's Inside, and What to Bring

How Many People

ReserveAmerica says the yurts hold four to six people. Which size suits your group depends on the number of bunks in the yurt you book, so read the listing for the specific yurt before you pay.
